Before Booking Your Stay
Everything you need to know before booking your stay at Lion Lodge, from pricing and availability to what’s included.
Prices start from £449 per night, based on two people staying. Additional guests are charged at an extra rate.
Prices are dependent on the Lodge type and also the time of year.
Our Standard Package includes;

Payment is needed in full to reserve your Safari Lodges stay.
We have a specifically designed Elephant Lodge a Lion Lodge, and two Hippo Lodges, which are wheelchair-friendly. They include additional design enhancements for those with accessibility needs and can be selected via our website when making a booking.

All groups in a Lodge will need at least one adult booked in (18+).
The Hippo, Lion, Cheetah, Rhino, White Lion and Elephant Lodges with Bunk Beds can sleep up to six guests.
The Accessible Hippo, Tiger, Giraffe and Elephant Lodges with Single Beds can sleep up to five guests.
The Red Panda Cottages sleep up to four guests.
Yes you can. Please make separate reservations for each Lodge or Cottage.
We now charge a small fee per infant, to cover their food costs, as well as housekeeping and general services during your stay.
Yes, Safari Annual Pass holders get a 10% discount off Lodge bookings*. Please note:
The guest booking must be the annual Pass holder
The Pass needs to be still in date at the time of booking
Only one Annual Pass can be used per Lodge booking
Additional guests added on after booking will be charged at the standard rate, discounts will not be applied.
Discount is not available against any extras or enhancements.
Once you have made your booking, please contact us and provide your annual pass membership details. You will also need to show your Annual Pass on your check-in to the Lodge.
*Excludes Silver Annual Passes.
There is no minimum or maximum length of stay currently.
We don’t currently have any group discounts available.
No, Tesco Clubcard Vouchers cannot be used for booking a stay at Safari Lodges.
There is a minimum price for each lodge that covers up to 2 guests. For single occupancy, this minimum price still applies. Additional guests beyond the first two will incur an extra charge per person.

If you have purchased a Safari Lodge as a gift, we can provide a gift voucher and envelope for you to present to the intended recipient. Please contact us with this request – bookings@safari-lodges.co.uk

During Your Visit
Everything you need to know for a smooth and unforgettable stay, from arrival and check-in to making the most of your time at Safari Lodges.
Feeding will not be available from the Lodges.
If you would like to book a VIP Experience to feed our animals, please check availability and pre-book at an additional cost. Click Here.
VIP Experiences are subject to availability. Some dates and experiences are likely to be booked up quickly.
Please check-in at our Lodges Reception, located next to the Lost City Plaza entrance. You can view the Lodges area map here.
You are welcome to arrive at the Safari Park when it opens to enjoy your first day. For opening times please see here. Your Lodge check-in time is from 2:00pm.
Don’t forget to stop by the Lodges Reception when you arrive to pick up your Ride Wristbands! (summer season only)
Check-out is 10:00am on your departure day. Please place your luggage by the door inside your lodge and proceed to the Sea Lion Theatre for a special enrichment sessions.
Our team will transport your luggage to the Safari Lodges Reception, where it will be available for collection after 11:30am. Should you require your belongings earlier, kindly inform us in advance.
We can transport one closed suitcase or bag per person. Any additional bags will not be transported to/from your Lodge by our team so guests will need to carry these themselves, which could be up to a 10-15 minute walk.
Any open bags (ie. shopping/carrier bags or trolleys) cannot be transported by our team.

Parking is not permitted outside your Lodge unless you have specifically booked an Accessible Lodge (we currently have two: 1x elephant/1x lion). All vehicles must remain in the car park by Reception.
Your luggage can be transported by a member of our team. Please note, the walk from your car up to your Lodge could be anything between 10 to 20 minutes.
Yes, you will have a designated free parking space next to the Lodges Reception.
Unfortunately, no pets are allowed in the Safari Lodges.
Yes, travel cots can be hired free of charge. Please note, it does not include bedding or a mattress.

There is no smoking or vaping allowed anywhere in or around the lodges. A £250 cleaning charge will be added if guests smoke inside or on the balcony/decking areas of the lodges.
Yes, the Lodges and exhibits are designed and built to current UK building regulations and zoo licencing standards to ensure that all of our guests and animals a safe, whilst offering an up-close and personal interactive experience.
Please note, children should always be under parental care.
Only guests who are listed on the Safari Lodges booking can have any access to the accommodation.
Please ring Guest Services using the telephone in your Lodge if you need anything during your stay.
Due to our ongoing commitment to sustainability and being an eco-friendly business, we do not provide disposable slippers. Guests are welcome to bring their own. There will however be robes in your Lodge.

Food & Dining
Everything you need to know about dining at Safari Lodges, from pre-ordering your meals to catering for dietary requirements.
Once you’ve made a booking, you’ll receive an email to select your menu options, three weeks before your stay. If we don’t hear back from you by 48 hours prior to your stay, a pre-selected menu will be arranged for you.

Safari Park & Your Visit
Everything you need to know about making the most of your Safari Park experience, from the Safari Drive to exploring the Park during your stay.
The ride wristbands that come with a Safari Lodges booking are non-transferable, so only guests staying overnight can have access to the rides in the Adventure Theme Park.
The Safari Drive generally takes at least two hours to drive around in your own vehicle. This can be longer during busy periods, we also offer Minibus Tours that can be booked separately. You will have access to drive around the Safari once, on each day.
No, Lodge guests can visit the Safari at any time during the opening hours. You will be issued with tickets in your welcome pack, that you will need to use to access the Safari Drive and Safari Walk. Your will have the chance to drive around the Safari once per day.
Yes, please contact a member of our Guest Services Team to let them know if you need to leave site.
You are likely to see the animals from your Lodge, but due to the nature of our wildlife, sometimes they do rest in areas which are not easy to view, particularly during inclement weather or very hot weather, as we expect our animals to live and act as closely as their species do in the wild. Animal husbandry and health check-ups may also mean that some animals are not visible at certain times.
During the evening, you can sit and relax, enjoying the ambience of your Lodge. There is a widescreen TV in each lodge, which displays terrestrial TV channels.
Depending on which Lodge you are in, you may still see animals outside. They have access to their indoor housing, so can come and go as they wish. Whether they are outside your Lodge or in their night quarters will depend on the weather conditions and if the species you have chosen to stay with likes to roam in the dark.
For example, our red pandas are more active at night. Please understand that we are unable to artificially light their habitat during dark hours, as our animals need to experience both day and night naturally for their own health and welfare.
Safari Lodges guests can benefit from 20% off items in gift shops and food outlets. Simply show your gold wristband when you’re at the till and the discount will be applied. T&C’s apply.
